Nel 2020 in Italia ci saranno 176.000 offerte di lavoro ad alto potenziale tecnologico. È uno dei dati emerso da un recente report di Empirica sulle competenze digitali in Europa, con focus sul nostro Paese.

Nonostante l'Italia registri uno dei più bassi tassi di occupabilità in Europa, il nostro Paese ha anche il più alto numero di posizioni aperte nel settore tecnologico e non si riescono a trovare candidati idonei.
ROME, OCTOBER 30th 2014 – Italy, with one of the lowest job vacancy rates in Europe, has one of the highest proportions of unfilled positions in the tech sector. With youth unemployment (ages 15-24 years old) last year at a shockingly high level of 40% it’s hard to find a greater need for e-skills anywhere in Europe.
The European Commission has selected DIGITALEUROPE and European Schoolnet to deliver the e-Skills for Jobs 2014 campaign. It aims to raise awareness of the need for citizens to improve their command of information and communication technology (ICT) skills for work. The campaign is a response to the growing demand for ICT-skilled professionals which is currently not met, despite high level of unemployment in Europe.

The Greek government has used its six months at the helm of the European Union to maximize this trend, not only for its own unemployed workforce, but for all 28 EU member states.
